Learn the right pair
California asks for Sacramento. New York asks for Albany. Begin with the correct pair, then try recalling it before you reveal the answer.

Look closer
The state side puts the question in context. The capital side keeps the reverse question free of map clues.

The star shows the capital’s approximate location, helping you connect its name with a place on the map.
The small U.S. map highlights the state, with Alaska and Hawaii included. The whole-country view stays beside the pair you are practising.
Read the state name, then try its capital. Turn the card to read the capital and try naming the state. Outline identification is not a prerequisite.
The map cues support the pair you are learning. Read the map-scale details in the questions below.
Try before you choose
Start on the state side and name the capital. Open the capital side, then try naming its state. These five pairs are part of the full pack.

Say or think of the capital. Show answer reveals the complete pair; Next card continues at your pace.
Come back to the pairs in another session. Try capital-to-state later, with the state map out of sight until reveal.
Use Got it or Again to leave an optional practice note, or simply move to the next card.

Every state/capital pair is fact checked against the official GPO capital table. That includes Washington state and Olympia; Washington, D.C. and territories are outside this state-only pack.
Inspect the GPO table, printed page 326The state outlines and capital locations come from official U.S. Census Bureau geographic data. Alaska and Hawaii are included in labeled insets, with different scales clearly noted.

Digital + PDF currently requires a local server or a working hosted player. Customer download delivery and a buyer phone setup are still being verified; buying a file does not install an app. Choose a format once the stated access route fits your setup.
Choose Letter or A4 to match your paper. For duplex, use the separate guide and print the first two card pages as one portrait sheet at Actual size or 100%, with long-edge duplex. Check size and alignment before printing the rest. The easy single-sided option uses paired cut sheets: match pair numbers, then glue or laminate front and back together. Printer alignment varies; physical print registration is still being checked.
Desktop offline save and personal progress backup were tested in their recorded setups. Keep the complete ZIP, PDFs and progress backup separately; restoring lost browser storage can require restoring the server or hosted player first.
The printed bundle’s packaging, physical sample, shipping rates and fulfillment remain unverified.
The star shows the approximate capital-city location, using a representative point inside the city. It does not mark the Capitol building. State maps are fitted separately and do not compare area; Alaska and Hawaii locator insets use separate scales, and Hawaii’s northwestern islands have a separate panel.
